Nevertheless, philosophical tradition has made vocality a &#8220;great absent,&#8221; basing ontology on the abstract concept of Man and neglecting the real fact of the sexual difference of subjects, reducing the feminine to a subcategory of the masculine. The history of the voice thus constitutes the reverse side of the great questions that have run through philosophy from the very beginning.
