She is interested in examining the tensions between the on-stage and the off-stage through moving images, experimental theatre, performance, and publishing.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Since 2020 she is part of the artist duo <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">VEGA <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">with Tommaso Arnaldi. In 2021 Pionati co-founded the curatorial and research platform<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Iniziative di II,<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> to explore the relationship between performativity and the public space. From this experience, she co-initiated the periodical publication <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">II Magazine<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. The editorial project explores the codes and methodologies existing within publishing and its dialectic relationship with archiving, as well as the correlations to lesser visible or permanent forms of expression and dissemination.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In 2022 Francesca joined the <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Dutch Art Institute<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, a nomadic program that stands between artistic practice and theoretical research, intending to expand pedagogical methodologies and temporary communities.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The research by Pionati has been shown at <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">MACRO &#8211; Museum of Contemporary Art of Rome, Museo MA*GA<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Triennale Milano, Galleria d\u2019Arte Moderna of <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Rome, <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Manifattura Tabacchi<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Fondazione smART<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Sant\u2019Andrea de Scaphis<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">MEGA<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. She has partaken in the residency programs <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">La Quarta Partete<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> by Romeo Castellucci at <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Triennale Milano<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Prender-si Cura<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> at <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">MATTATOIO<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">VISIO<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> by <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Lo Schermo dell\u2019Arte<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, and <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">FONDAMENTA<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> at <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Teatro India<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.
