Natalya Marconini Falconer

Natalya Marconini Falconer’s practice emerges from gaps in familial and regional memories of place. By working with these lapses in memory, they accumulate the material aftermaths from cycles of industry, migration and natural events related to southern Italy. Moving between sculpture, installation and writing, layering is used as a technique to echo the way the past folds itself into lived experience. In tracing what has been left behind, the work centres itself around material’s ‘timekeeping’ potential: its ability to hold memory and sensation when the body falters to do so.

Marconini Falconer works between London and Italy. They hold an MFA from the Slade School of Fine Art, London, where they were the recipient of the Sarabande: Lee Alexander McQueen Foundation Scholarship, and hold a BA in English Literature from UCL. In 2025, they exhibited at Fondazione Elpis (IT), The Bomb Factory (UK), and Cafe OTO (UK).
