CASTRO is a project dedicated to alternative education in the field of contemporary art, based in Rome.
Since 2018, it has hosted international artists and researchers for free, offering them a studio and an educational program. Additionally, it organizes cultural activities for the public, opening artistic dialogue to the community.
In 2024, to support its educational mission, CASTRO is organizing an auction of works by Italian and international artists. The funds raised will be entirely reinvested in the free educational program for the next year, thus ensuring that access to art and education remains open and free for everyone.
The auction is realised in collaboration with Christie’s and will be conducted by Cristiano De Lorenzo, the Managing Director of Christie’s Italy.
