CRIT – L’Inatteso a Roma Est

Public presentation, discussion and critic of artists’ itinerant work who are taking part in the project “L’inatteso a Roma Est“, a project by Stalker/NoWorking.
This will be also an opportunity to talk about the international network Artists at Risk who is supporting the artists who are at risk in their own countries through a network of residence in many foreign countries.

L’Inatteso a Roma Est is a project of public involvement (Public Engagement) between artistic research and urban and social exploration with which the realization of an Atlas of the Unexpected in East Rome has begun.
The Atlas is an imaginative and relational mobile device, a loom on which to spin, through explorations and encounters, a fabric whose warp are the many converging flows at Porta Maggiore and whose weave is carried out by young artists, both Roman and foreign, who like “shuttles” thread themselves through the mesh of East Rome to discover unexpected places and paths. A public and shared action that weaves together memories and imaginaries, different looks, for competence, generation and culture, local looks – with their brought memories of immigration and struggles – and foreign looks but at the same time intimate because they share those worlds and those cultures that continue to redesign the dynamics of East Rome’s geography.
