On December 3, 2025, at 6:30 PM at CASTRO, the collective Šumma Ālu will present their first editorial publication: Enciclopedia degli Usi e Costumi e Costumi del Futuro.
The volume was born from the desire to collect practices and experiments developed through the method of Desidumanzia. It is not a manual of methods nor an archive of rules, but a compilation of symbolic tools for self-awareness—examples of how desire can generate movement and relationships.
Divided into three sections—Resonate, Co-create, Remember—the book explores non-verbal languages, forms of coexistence that value differences, and practices of performative memory. It is an invitation to rethink desire not as an end, but as a vital and collective process, capable of continuously regenerating the forms of living together.
The volume includes editorial contributions by:
- Silvio Cristiano
- Eugenio Toscano
- Greta di Poce
- Tina Squillace
- Valerio Pastorelli
- Giovanni Blandino
- Ariell Zéphyr
Graphic design: Tobia Faiman
Publisher: zzeditions
The presentation is part of a series of events dedicated to activating CASTRO’s Library on Alternative Education, a constantly growing library enriched by contributions from artists, researchers, and curators who share their perspectives on alternative education, radical pedagogies, and informal learning practices.
