Fabro L., Lezioni 1983 – 1995, curated by Fabro S., Libri Scheiwiller, 2022
Suggested by Paolo Canevari
A complete, previously unpublished work that brings together interventions and interviews by the artist from 1976 to 1996, curated by Silvia Fabro in collaboration with the Brera Academy of Fine Arts. Luciano Fabro, sculptor and writer, was one of the founders of the Arte Povera movement. Throughout his career he experimented with and used different materials, marble, iron, glass and paper, attributing a precise expressive task to each of them. Present on the Italian and foreign art scene – his works are exhibited in the most prestigious museums -, Fabro is undoubtedly to be counted among the most authoritative figures on the Italian art scene: a leading intellectual, an authoritative voice in the cultural debate, he was also a lecturer at the Brera Academy of Fine Arts, which pays homage to his greatness with this work that collects the interviews the artist gave, and the speeches he gave at conferences and debates in which he participated from 1976 to 2000.
