Maud Gyssels (b. 1993) lives and works in Brussels. She’s working across writing, drawing, composing, performing, curating, dj’ing and cooking. Looking for moments of collectivity, she currently engages with performance as a shared platform for sounds, words and movements. Keywords for her field of research are echoing, dialectics, collective listening and nightlife, rooted in new materialism and queer theory.
Maud is co-founder of TAFEL, a collective with Neri De Meester, that experiments with food and performativity through conceptual dinners and other gatherings. As part of the Dauwtrip, a nightlife collective aiming to provide a space for electronic music and other sensorial experiences in celebration of the night, she programs and draws out scenographies.
