PORTFOLIO REVIEWS are individual appointments with the CASTRO team to receive advice on how to present your work. They provide an opportunity to review both the structure and content of the artist’s portfolio.
Bookings are now open for the next appointment, which will take place on Thursday, May 25, 2023.
The portfolio is a formal and effective presentation of your work in reverse chronological order. As such, it is a fundamental method of introduction and illustration for applications, exhibitions, articles, residencies, and editorial projects. In addition to introducing your work to others, the portfolio and the act of layout are useful tools for the professional to visualize the progression of their practice and build a professional identity.
During the appointments, the layout and structure of the portfolio will be examined, and suggestions will be provided on how to best organize the information and tips on graphic presentation. Additionally, useful sources and references relevant to the artist’s work will be shared.
PORTFOLIO REVIEWS are an important step in an artist’s professional development and help to build their professional identity. They are particularly designed for university students and those at the beginning of their careers, but are open to anyone who feels they may benefit from them.
How to Book:
The reviews are held monthly at CASTRO. You can book an appointment by sending an email to info@castroprojects.it. Bookings are open to everyone, and appointments are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis.
What to Provide in Advance:
After booking your appointment, you will be asked to send us the latest version of your portfolio in PDF format, one week before the meeting. This will allow us time to review the portfolio before our meeting.
