THE CONTEMPORARY ART SYSTEM
The seminar is structured in two parts and it follow a dialogical approach, delving into the dynamics and relationships that influence the development of the Contemporary Art System, from the perspective of a gallery owner
6 February | 6 pm – 8 pm | The first session delves into the cultural and entrepreneurial dimensions of an art gallery.
7 February | 6 pm – 8 pm | The second session is dedicated to exploring the topic of research and artistic growth.
Carla Chiarchiaro lives and works in Rome since 2010. She earned a master’s degree in Art History from the University of Florence (2009) and a Master’s in Contemporary Art Market and Business Management from the Antonio De Nebrija University in Madrid (2010). From 2009 to 2010, she worked at the Parra & Romero gallery in Madrid; from 2010 to 2014 at the Federica Schiavo gallery in Rome, and from 2014 to 2017, she directed Frutta gallery in Rome. In September 2017, she founded ADA project space, and in September 2018, the ADA gallery in Rome, which she currently directs. The ADA gallery is a member of ITALICS, the consortium of the most influential Italian galleries of ancient, modern, and contemporary art. In 2023, Carla Chiarchiaro received the Diana Bracco Prize for Entrepreneurship in Art.
