This is the sixth CRIT. Public participation in the event is open to everyone, and applying to participate as an artist is free of charge.
The night CRIT#06 will be a special one, not only because it will be a nighttime version, but also because there will be no time limits: it will go on as long as there is something to say…
A CRIT is a meeting where some artists present their work, “offering” it to collective criticism. The CRIT audience is tasked with observing, trying to immerse themselves as much as possible in the work being presented, in order to offer their observations and questions to the artist.
The core of the CRIT is the exchange between the artist and the audience, so the discussion will be guided by the interventions of those present at the CRIT, who will be able to share their point of view on the work, triggering an exchange with the artist.
We invite you to stay for the entire duration of the presentations. It’s important for artists to be available both during the presentation of their own work and during the “reception” of others’ work: CRITs, as a collective “ritual,” are based on this dual commitment.
PS: There will be fantastic cushions set up in the CASTRO spaces to fully enjoy the evening.
We look forward to seeing you from 10:30 PM.
