Šumma ālu is a nomadic collective composed of artists Valerio Pastorelli, Ariell Zéphyr and Greta di Poce. The collective carries out research on practices of decolonisation of desire, intersectional self-consciousness and Minority Concrete Utopia using an approach that welcomes and hybridises various mediums with a preference for performance and experimental pedagogical practices. Šumma ālu’s workshops have been hosted in various spaces in Italy including Lavanderia a Vapore, Osservatorio Futura and Università Roma 3. They also participated in the residencies of ‘Il filo immaginario’ curated by Gommalacca Teatro and ‘Refugiart’ curated by Selene centro studi and Ekodanza. Finally, they have presented their performances at the theatre of Villa Mazzacorati, Opificio Puca and La Fab in Paris.
